The 1989 Inspired "Ask Anything" Tag

1. Welcome to New York. If you could live in any city, which would it be and why?
New York city, of course. It's the pinnacle of everything that represents New York. Big city, bright lights, hustle and bustle and opportunity on every street corner.

2. Blank Space. What is something that everyone thinks is true about you but is actually false?
That I'm not grateful for everyone in my life. I value everyone one around me so much it almost surpasses my love for myself, and for certain individuals it does. At times my negative vibes toward others dupe people into believing otherwise.

3. Style. What is one item in your closet that makes you feel unstoppable?
I almost said a pair of shades but then I thought, a nice, well-fitted pair of high waisted skinnies makes me strut my stuff no matter what where I am. It always turns heads and garners compliments out the wazoo.

4. Out of the Woods. What is one thing that you're afraid of?
I think there may be a tie for this one. Rejection and being undervalued are at the top of the list, just above drowning and the dark. I fear rejection from people I value most, anyone else and I could care less, but it can be devastating and even debilitating when it's someone I hold dear. As far as being under valued, it goes hand in hand with rejection. When I've given so much to a person and it's not appreciated or acknowledged....that's gonna leave a mark. They're both thing  I do my best to avoid but lately I've been stepping in it left and right.

5. All You Had To Do Was Stay. Who is someone you wish was still in your life?
My aunt Angela. She was the life on the party even when there wasn't one. I miss her vivacious way of life. I feel that if she were still with us today, I wouldn't have much choice but to be a happier person. I lost her to liver failure, which is why I was so reluctant to ever try alcohol. But she'd want me to get out and experience as much as I could and live and love and be a ray of sunshine, just like she was.

6. Shake It Off. What is something you have had to shake off?
A friend with benefits, I kept expecting it to go somewhere but after kicking myself in the arse a few times, I finally got a good helping of self-respect and agreed to just be friends.

7. I Wish You Would. What is something you'd like to happen right now?
I'd like to hit the effing lottery, even if it was just one million dollars, I think I'd be set for life. School, photography, travel and anything else I wanted to learn. It would be all laid out. But for now I'll just keep working my flat butt off.

8. Bad Blood. Have you ever had someone stab you in the back?
No, I can't say that I have. Unless you count siblings who tell your mom the truth to save their own skin. Haha.

9. Wildest Dreams. What would you like to be remembered for?
Being a game changer. I want to be the person who came into someones life and made a difference, who inspired them. I want to be remembered for my creativity. My tenacity. And my love for myself, my craft and for others.

10. How You Get The Girl. What is your favourite pick-up line?
On a scale of 1 to America, how free are you today?

11. This Love. What is something you got back that you never thought you would?
I wish I had a really deep answer to this question. Alas, I do not. My dreadlocks are the only thing I can come up with. I combed them out when I went into the Air Force and thought I'd never have then again, but now that I'm out, I've had them for 6 months now and I LOVE them.

12. I Know Places. Where is one place you always feel safe?
I don't think I feel safe anywhere, yet. Mainly because no matter where I am, I'm not safe from my own thoughts and emotions, doubts and fears. So, I'm still working on that chapter of my life.

13. Clean. What is an important lesson you have learned in life, and how did you learn it?
"Who makes you happy? You do!" I learned that handy little quip from my friends mother, Ella and it's been my daily mantra ever since. I also learned that from my girls, Lali, Bri and Evs. They keep my head on straight, so big ups to them. I love those dolls.

So who do I tag? My girl, Lali and even Bri if she ever starts a blog.

AND

I tag you!
